HOULTON - Betty Jean Belyea Johnson Lindsay, 82, went to be with her Lord November 8, 2015 at Houlton Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born September 27, 1933 at Gardiner, Maine, the daughter of the late Perley A. and Mildred (Newton) Belyea, Sr.
Betty worked many years at JJ Newberry's, United Cleaning Center and Traveler's/Big Stop. She graduated from Houlton High School and attended Ricker Classical Institute. Also attended Houlton Full Gospel Assembly. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her six children Randy Johnson of Hodgdon, Sharon Welton of Hodgdon, Deanie Ivey and her husband Dale of Houlton, Karen Burtt and her husband Frank of Monticello, Christy Alward and her husband Dale of Florida, Adam Johnson and his wife Isabelle of Gorham; 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; two sisters Margie Burnette and her husband Cecil of Massachusetts, Dolores Farrell of Houlton; one brother Malcolm Davis and his wife Norma of Houlton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of many years Paul Johnson, her parents, one brother Perley Belyea, Jr. and two sisters Barbara Tolla and Eleanor Burns.
Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home 12noon Saturday, November 14 until the time of the service 1:00PM with Rev. Kevin Hatch officiating. Interment will be in the Littleton cemetery. A time of fellowship will follow the interment at the Houlton Full Gospel Assembly.
