Bette's Story

BREWER - Bette J. Jamieson, 70, wife of the late John P. Jamieson, passed peacefully Oct. 5, 2014 at her home in Brewer joining her great granddaughter, Alivia Jade Freeman. She was born May 31, 1944 in Bangor, the daughter of Edward L. and Carolyn C. (Guerin) Braley.

Bette was a dedicated homemaker to her family and enjoyed the times she spent with her husband cruising on their boat, the Bette Rose.

Surviving are four children, Kellie Dugan and her husband, Dan and their children, Katie and son, Jacobi, Michelle and son, Bentley, Patricia, and Rachael of Clifton; Carrie Huntley and her husband, Cliff, and their children, Jennifer and husband, Adrien and son, Malik, Matthew and his wife, Amanda and daughter, Alexis, Ryan of Bangor; Leslie Jamieson and children, Sierra and Reice of Brewer; and Christopher Jamieson and his wife, Jo-Ellen and son, Ethan of Kenduskeag; a sister, Rose Danforth and her husband, Douglas of Brewer and James Braley and his wife, Becca of Baileyville; a close sister-in-law, Jessica Ellis and her husband, John and son Josh; and a dear friend, Richard Foss and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks to New Hope Hospice.

A gathering at Bette's home to celebrate her life will be held 3-7 PM Friday, October 10, 2014 at 13 Bangor St., Brewer. Services by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer.
