- BethAnn Dorsey Adams, 46, of Norfolk, VA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, April 24, 2017, due to complications arising from a short battle with cancer. She was born on October 21, 1970, in Bangor, Maine, and attended Bangor schools, including Bangor High School, before moving on to earn a degree in Education from the University of Maine at Farmington, as well as a master's degree in literacy education from the University of Southern Maine. She was a beloved teacher and literacy expert.
BethAnn is survived by her adoring husband, Jeremiah V. Adams; and their two beautiful children, Anastasia, 11, and Nolan, 9, of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by her parents, Dana and Sharon Dorsey of Bangor, ME; her sister, Amy Dorsey McNichols and her husband, Thomas, and their children, Erin, John and Owen, of Manchester, NH; her parents-in-law, Jack and Lynn Adams of Deford, MI; her brother-in-law, Benjamin Adams and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Alexander and Nicholas, of Wayland, MI; as well as many other family members and countless friends.
