Polk City, FL, and Corinth
- Bertha G. Norsworthy, 96, died November 2, 2016, in Polk City, FL. She was born August 27, 1920, in Chapman, a daughter of Ira and Addie (Cox) Robbins. Bertha married Harley Norsworthy in 1938. They were married for 31 years before his passing in 1968. They had 11 children together.
Bertha was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She loved to watch her children grow and become the wonderful individuals they became. She thought that her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were a gift from God and were her little angels. She enjoyed camping in the summer with family prior to her retirement. Besides her love for her family, you could find Bertha knitting and crocheting a wide variety of blankets, hats, sweaters, socks, doilies, many of which were given to local charities and churches. But the items she gave to her family have become treasures that they hold dearly.
Bertha is survived by her children, Charlotte Hutchinson, Rita Easler, Donald and wife Diane Norsworthy, Delbert Norsworthy, Phyllis and husband Don Therieault, Lillian Niles, Douglas Norsworthy, Linda and husband Tom Cloutier.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Edith Norsworthy and 2 sons Dale and Dwight Norsworthy.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 11th 2016, at the Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, with the Rev. David Bean officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com
