Barbara's Story

STILLWATER - Barbara M. Sulinski, 83, slipped away quietly on July 25, 2015, following a long battle with Alzheimer's. Barbara was born in Old Town, November 23, 1931, the daughter of Linwood and Olive (Wickett) Miles.

Barbara graduated from Old Town High School with honors in 1951. After high school she made her career in banking as a teller and customer service representative, retiring from Fleet Bank in 1997. Barbara was an active member of the Old Town VFW Woman's Auxiliary. She absolutely loved spending time at her cottage on Cold Stream Pond with her family and friends. Barb was a huge animal lover, having many animals throughout the years. Her favorites was her dog Cuddles and her cat Lollipop.

Barbara is survived by her three daughters; Terry Sutton Porter and husband Mike of Veazie, Debra Sutton Rossignol and husband Mike of Hermon, Sherri Lee-Ann Sulinski Jameson and companion, Jim Miller of Greenbush, step-son Johnny Sulinski and wife Francine of Old Town, sister Penny Miles Stalder and husband Robert of Peachtree City, Ga, grandchildren Shane Porter and wife LeAnne of Veazie, Nicole Jennifer Sulinski Brewer and husband Bert of Lagrange, Samantha Britney Kahn and husband Joshua of Massachusetts, Joseph Edward Jameson Jr. and Nickolas Samuel Jameson, both of Old Town, Gillian Sulinski and Travis Smith of Old Town, Ella and Brooke Sulinski, both from Old Town; great grandchildren, Kayla May Brewer of Lagrange and Beckam Parker Smith of Old Town, lifelong friend Virginia Sargent Gowen and special friend Brent Folster, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, siblings Joyce Mae Miles, Henry L. Miles, Sylvia Miles Knock, Marlene Miles Bryant, Sherry Lee Miles, and Steve W. Miles.

Friends may call Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 5-7pm at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St. Old Town. Funeral services will be held at Birmingham Funeral Home on Wednesday July 29, at 10am.
