- Arthur L. Brissette, 56, died unexpectedly Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born January 17, 1960, in Fort Kent, a son of the late Patrick and Mabel (Dominique) Brissette.
Arthur worked for many St. John Valley farmers for many years, including Cyr, Rocky Beach, Lajoie, and Parent Farms. He enjoyed driving in and around the woods looking for wildlife and restoring vintage pick-up trucks. He was a joker and his day wasn't complete unless he made someone laugh.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa (Smith) Brissette of Van Buren; a daughter, Amy Brissette and her companion Kurt Corriveau of Van Buren; three siblings, Arnold Brissette of Van Buren, Martha Richardson and her husband J.R. and Barbara Hughes and her husband Greg, all of Texas; several nieces and nephews; many friends, including his best buds Keith Martin and Eugene Roy; and two Siamese cats, Coco and Storm.
Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by a brother, Michael Brissette.
Relatives and friends may greet the family 6 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, where a memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m., with Father Kent Ouellette officiating.
