Arnold's Story

Dedham - It's with a heavy heart that I write this story about Arnold James Burgess born April 4, 1938 to James and Aurilea Burgess. He's been my love for 45 years and my husband for 44. He died on August 16, 2016 after a long struggle.

He graduated from Bucksport High in 1957. From there he spent 4 years in the US Navy aboard the USS Benham and saw the world during peace time. He then worked at the Bucksport Mill for 37 years.

He was a member and past Master of Felicity Lodge # 0019, Hancock RAC #19, Anah Temple Shrine and the Bangor Elks Lodge #244. He had a great love of fishing, hunting, boating and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, sons; Jim (Maye), Keith (Roberta) Wes and Todd (Crystal), his brother Bubba (Mickie). Grandchildren; Veronica, Arnie, Mandy, Jason, Justin, Sammie (Ray), Corey (Kelly) and Mat (Kim), great-grandchildren; Liam, London, Cassidy and Mason. Sisters & Brothers-in-law; Kay, Les, Delores, Jerry, Marie, Tim, Cheryl, Joseph and Carol. Many loved Nieces, Nephews and good friends near and far.

You fought a good fight honey, As usual you'll have to wait for me to get ready, but I'll be along!

Special thanks to Dr. Ken Simone and Karen, the wonderful staff in CCU @ EMMC, Dr. Chavco, Dr. Noutsios and George.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 2-4 on Sunday August 21, 2016 at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home 28 Elm Street Bucksport.

In lieu of flowers please do something kind for someone and think of Pudg. (
