FORT KENT - Armand Daigle, 79, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2016 at Border View Nursing Home in Van Buren. Armand was born in Daigle on September 23, 1936 the son of Alcide and Emma Daigle.
He farmed and trucked most of his life. He served in the US Army. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Huguette Daigle in 2015. They spent several winters in Florida, which they both enjoyed very much, and spent summers at their cottage in Lac Baker, enjoying family and friends. They both enjoyed playing cards, and dancing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Brian and his wife Leona of Boynton Beach, Florida; his daughter, Sharon Daigle Gerrish and her husband William "Bill" Gerrish of Caribou, Me.; two grandchildren whom Armand treasured and adored, Brianna Gerrish and Oliver Gerrish, both of Caribou; his brother, Norman Daigle of Daigle, Delia LeSieur of Saco, and Rita Courtois of Biddeford, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents and wife, Armand was predeceased by three brothers, Rosaire, Claude, and Clarence.
Friends may call Thursday, March 3, 2016 8:30 am until time of service at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
A Mass of Christian burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 am Thursday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring interment will be held in the Holy Family Cemetery in Daigle.
