BROWNVILLE - Arlene L. Larson, 92, wife of Arthur T. Larson, passed away November 2, 2014, at Mayo Regional Hospital. She was born June 21, 1922, in Medford, the daughter of Robert E. and Mollie E. (Tuck) Lovejoy. A graduate of Milo High School, Arlene and her husband operated a dairy farm for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Arthur; four children: Lorna Melonson of Florida, David Larson and his wife, Dorothy, of Milo, Rita Larlee and her husband, Eugene, of Millinocket, James Larson and his wife, Susan, of Milo. She also leaves two sisters, Esther Cain of Connecticut, and Nadean Cercone of Maine; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arlene was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Maydelle Grover; a brother, Robert Lovejoy; a son-in-law, George Melonson; and two grandsons, Alan Avery and Andrew Larson.
Friends are invited to call from 1pm until time of funeral service at 2pm, Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with Pastor Isaiah Hill officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Three Rivers Ambulance Service, PO Box 432, Milo 04463.
