Pittsfield - Arlene B. Krupsky, 93, died peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2016, in Pittsfield.
She was born on November 21, 1923, in Salem, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Simeon J. and Adeline B. (Chapman) Trudeau. They moved to Woburn, Massachusetts, where she attended the local schools and she received her Associates Degree from Boston University.
On April 21, 1946, she married James S. Krupsky. They lived in Woburn until 1957 and relocated to Pittsfield, Maine, where they spent the rest of their lives together. She and her husband had three children whom they loved and would do anything for them. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was so proud of them.
Arlene worked at the front desk at Sebasticook Valley Hospital for a few years, but she is known for her twenty years of service as a secretary at Warsaw Middle School in Pittsfield. She loved to read and do cross stitch. Everyone that knew her loved her.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia McCrillis and husband, Carl, of Pittsfield, James Krupsky and wife, Patricia, of North Carolina and Jacquelyn Downing and husband, Chris, of Pittsfield; grandchildren, Chris McCrillis and fiancée, Tara Trafton, Justin McCrillis and wife, Michelle, Mark McCrillis, Scott Downing and wife, Jamie, Jay Downing, Andrea (Krupsky) Galang and husband, Rich, Kimberly DesRochers and husband, Jeremy; great grandchildren, Blaise Downing, Colin McCrillis, Camden McCrillis, Abigail McCrillis and Adeline McCrillis.
She was predeceased by her husband, James of 67 years; granddaughter, Ashleigh Downing; brother, John Trudeau; and sister, Lucille Riley.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016, in the chapel at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, in Augusta.
