Anthony's Story

BROWNVILLE JUNCTION - Anthony W. Davis, Sr., 65, died September 17, 2014, at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor. He was born August 11, 1949, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Errol B. and Rhea (Hathorn) Davis.

Tony was employed at MSAD No.41 for 32 years as mechanic and bus driver. He had also worked for Vaughn Thibodeau and Sons, and at the time of his death he was employed by Thornton Construction in Milford. He was the coach for 27 years for Team Milo Special Olympics. He enjoyed his motorcycle and snowmobiling but his greatest joy was spending summers at camp in Lake View and all the special times with his grandson, Ben. He was a member of Ebeemee Snowmobile Club.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Wiley) Davis of Brownville Jct.; his son T.J. Davis and his wife, Deidre, of Milo; his step-daughter, Janelle Wuoristo and her husband, Vesa; and his very special buddy, his grandson, Ben Wuoristo, all of Bangor. He also leaves his brothers, Todd and Wayne of Conn., and Kevin of Brewer; his sisters, Eileen Anderson and Cheryl Cordani of Conn. and Jewel O'Donnell of Searsport; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Doretta Collar.

Friends are invited to call 1-3pm Sunday, September 21, 2014, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating, directly after the visiting hours. All are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship and sharing at the American Legion Hall, Riverside Street, Milo, after the services.
