- Anthony Sopiel Malcolm Dana, 27, died unexpectedly August 28, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on October 31, 1988, at EMMC in Bangor, the son of Nicholas (Nick) Dana and Annette Dana. Anthony who from a young age lived by many nicknames, he was known as Antney, Antman, and, of course, Mr. Clean. He had an infectious laugh, finding humor in many trials sent his way, he had a great sense of humor, kind, gentle, helpful, always smiling, and so full of life. Anthony loved fishing, canoeing, running, and playing video games.
He was predeceased by his godfather, Stephen Sabattus and an Uncle, Louie Dana. His many survivors include his father Nicholas (Nick) and mother Annette Dana of Indian Township; siblings; Natalie and significant other Kyle Lolar and nephews Susep and Aseli of Indian Township; Stacey Rae (Dana) LaCoote, her husband Daniel, niece Leona, and nephews Daniel Jr. and Jordan of Indian Township; Cassandra of Indian Township; Adopted brother Randy Stevens of Indian Township; Nicholas (Nick) Dana II and niece Nadia Dana of Sipayik; and Derek Moore of Indian Township, grandfather Malcolm Downing of Lunenburg, VT, grandmothers; Mary Teresa (Lola) Downing and Joan (Tomah) Dana both of Indian Township; godmother Madeline (Socobasin) Moore of Indian Township, and very special friend and cousin Daniel Dana of Indian Township; Anthony was blessed with numerous Uncles Aunts, and Cousins, who the family would love to recognize but it would take up a full page if all listed; and last but not least his dog Biscuit.
Friends may call the home of Joan Dana, 796-2390. Visiting hours will begin Monday, August 29, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Joan Dana's residence, 9 Birch Circle, Peter Dana Point. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Kevin J. Martin 2 p.m., Wednesday August 31, 2016 at St. Ann's Mission, Peter Dana Point.
