- Annie McAdam Bragdon Saunders, 91, of Houlton, passed away July 3, 2017, in Houlton with her family at her side. She was born August 16, 1925, in Hammond, the daughter of Coleman and Eva (Clark) McAdam. She attended schools in Hammond and worked at Madigan and Aroostook Hospital and retired from Houlton Regional Hospital in 1990 after 27 years. She was a lifelong member of Military Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Alta and her husband Shirley Reardon of Houlton, Marvin Bragdon and his wife Linda of Salem, Oregon, Rodney Saunders and his wife Patricia of Houlton, and Wayne Saunders and Michele MacDonald of Linneus, and second daughter Margaret Frye and her husband Michael of Cary. Also her grandchildren Chris Reardon of Falmouth, Lee Reardon of Augusta, Sean Reardon and his wife Tracy of Brewer, Kent Reardon and his wife Kayla of Ellsworth, James Bragdon and his wife Elizabeth of Salem, Oregon, Tammy and her husband Scott Hartranft Tiffany Rodweiller and her husband Jesse of Linneus. Step grandchildren Rene DeVoe and Denise Cummings and a special step granddaughter Kindall White. Eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband J. Roy Bragdon, and her second husband Ernest Saunders and an infant daughter.
Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Saturday, July 8th at Military Baptist Church with a funeral service being held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Randall Burns Officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Military Street Baptist Church, or the Houlton Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the church.
