Lincoln - Annie Ruth (Stone) Bearce, 89, passed peacefully on January 18, 2017, at Penobscot Valley Hospital. She was born March 21, 1927, in Lumberton, NC, the daughter of Clarence and Lizzie (Britt) Stone.
Annie was a member of Chester Baptist Church. She was also an active member of American Legion Post 77 Auxiliary and VFW Post 1348 Auxiliary. She felt privileged to sing the National Anthem several times during local Veteran's Day ceremonies. Annie loved volunteering, singing, gardening, and cooking for public suppers.
Annie was predeceased by her parents and several siblings; Leroy, Willie Mae, Jimmie, George, Mary, Grady, Joe, Linda Faye, and Erma Neal. She was also predeceased by her husband of many years, Milton Bearce, their infant son, Eddie, and youngest daughter, Lizza Clark as well as sons in law, Gary Cull and Daniel Reed.
She is survived by one brother, Jack; her daughters, Sandra Cox and husband Jim, Marie Beckett and husband Doug, Teresa Reed, and Stephanie Cull; a son, Clarence Bearce and wife Melody; a son in law, James Clark; several grandchildren, great grand children, a great-great grandson; and many dear friends.
A committal service will be held at Mount Repose Cemetery, Burlington, ME, this summer.
