Anne's Story

JASPER, TX - Anne Drummond Wagstaff, 76, of Jasper, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 14th after a brief illness.

Anne was a native of Maine and grew up in Abbot. She graduated from PCHS in 1959. After moving to Texas she attended Nursing school and worked until retirement in that profession. She was also an instructor in an LVN program. She was predeceased by parents, Joseph and Marion (Clukey) Drummond and a sister Eleanor Leathers.

She is survived by 3 sons, Joey & Wife, Lynn; Ronnie & Wife, Donna; Donnie & Wife, Tammy; and one daughter Elaine and her husband Mike; all of Texas. She is also survived by one brother, Mac Drummond of Abbot, Maine and a sister, Mary Owens of Chesapeake, Virginia as well as 14 grand children and 25 great grand children and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 18 in Jasper, Texas. In respect of her wishes, she was cremated, and her remains will be laid to rest in Abbot, Maine at the Drummond plot at a future date.
