Anna graduated from Houlton High School, Class of 1954. Following graduation she married Ivan James Lindsay and had 10 children. Anna worked as an CNA for 18 years at the Bangor Convalescent Center.
She was very fond of her family and instilled in them over the years her favorite family traditions of cooking, canning and quilting. But most of all she passed along the value of family. Always being there to lend a hand and never letting family go without which was especially evidenced in her raising of four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ivan James, two sons, James Bennett and John Byron, one daughter, Bertha Louise and three sisters, Alice, Mary and Myrtle.
Surviving her are seven daughters, Bernice Lindsay of Milford, Edna Clark of Bangor, Ella Grant and husband Ricki of Lagrange, Deborah McPhail and husband Daivid of Bradford, Tina Spencer of Utah, Donna Allen and husband David of Vasselboro, Trina Farrenkoph and husband Todd of Bangor, 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way. She also is survived by her siblings; brother William and wife Sylvia of Carry Mills, two sisters Charolette of Linus and Lois of Kenduskeag and many nieces and nephews.
