Althea's Story

CORINNA AND CORINTH - Althea Louise Finnemore, 77, died April 1, 2014 at a Brewer nursing home surrounded by her family. She was born April 6, 1936, in Houlton, a daughter of Coburn and Dorothy (McKinney) Finnemore, Sr.

She graduated from Newport High School and the University of Maine at Farmington. Dottie taught school in Maryland for a time before moving back to Maine. She later co-owned Berg's Store in Brownville Junction and Berg Enterprises in Corinna. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother.

Dottie is survived by two sons, Scott E. Trask of Corinth, and Rick and wife, Hyein Berg of Vassalboro; a daughter, Vicki J. Trask of Newport; a brother, Victor and wife, Debbie Finnemore, and a sister, Jeanne "DeeDee" Scott, all of Florida. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gary L. Trask, her second husband, Ralph A. Berg, a son, Terry A. Trask, and two brothers, George Finnemore and Coburn Finnemore.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, April 6th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial will occur later in the spring at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com
