BROOKLINE, MASS. AND SEARSMONT - Alice Moller, 85, of Brookline, MA and Searsmont, ME, passed away on May 5, 2015. Alice was born in Flushing, NY and lived on Long Island, working as a medical technician until retiring to Brookline in 2005.
Since 1971, she spent summers on Lake Quantabacook in Searsmont, enjoying the tranquility of the lake, getting to know the local folks, and offering wonderful hospitality to those who came to visit .
Although Alice had many medical difficulties throughout her life, she faced each with courage and determination not to let them get her down. Always happy and upbeat, her attitude spread to those around her. Everyone who met her became a friend. She traveled to a number of far off places, but always found time to love her basset hounds.
Alice is survived by her husband of 64 years, George; her daughter, Chris (Brian); son, Peter (Amy); and 5 grandchildren, Drew, Ben, Henry, Otto and Mina. Also, Alice leaves a beloved sister, Amelia, in California.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 11 am at the Methodist Church in Searsmont with a lunch at the Moller camp immediately following.
