Alice's Story

SANGERVILLE - Alice L. Herring, 87, wife of the late Loren Herring, passed away November 20, 2015, at Hibbard Nursing Home. She was born April 18, 1928, in North Anson, the daughter of Joseph and Ester (Wood) Hagelin.

Alice was predeceased by her first husband, Otto F. Stutzman; four siblings, Bert, Joseph, Ruth and Hilma; and a half-brother, Ralph. She is survived by three sons, Richard Stutzman and his wife, Gail, of Sangerville; Robert Stutzman and his wife, Janet, of Dover-Foxcroft; and Sidney Stutzman and his wife, Rainie, of Sangerville. She leaves eight grandchildren, Eric Stutzman and his wife, Susan, of Dallas, GA; Alicia Stutzman of Dover-Foxcroft; Craig Stutzman and his wife, Karen, of Harmony; Kristen Schoepe and her husband, David, of San Martin, CA; Sunny Stutzman and his wife, Tracy, of Scarborough; Kale and his wife, Chie, of Seattle, WA; Karl Stutzman of Dover-Foxcroft; Angela Ayala and her husband, Luis, of Dover-Foxcroft; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Alice's family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Hibbard Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave to Alice, and, also, special thanks to Marcia Walden, her CHCS Hospice nurse.

Friends are invited to call 6-8pm Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where a funeral service will be conducted 11am Tuesday, December 8. Burial will be in the family lot in Gray Cemetery.
