FARMINGTON - Alice Lorraine Gilman was born on October 14, 1947 in Old Town, ME. She spent the last 30 years in Farmington, ME in the exceptional, loving care of wonderful staff that became her family and cared for her until her peaceful passing at her home on January 8, 2016.
Alice taught us all how to enjoy the simple things of life. She knew how to properly enjoy a cup of hot coffee, how important it is to be real and tell it like it is with no regrets. She spent her life enjoying the little things of life like holding babies, watching birds and animals, and enjoying the local news. Alice didn't worry about the trivial, passing things of life but enjoyed her relationships with people.
Alice is survived by her sisters Robyn (Gilman) Woodhouse and Janet (Gilman) Raymond and her husband, Peter, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Clayton; her mother, Erma; her sister, Karen; and her special aunts and uncles.
A celebration of Alice's life will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2015 at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St. Old Town, ME 04468
