Alfred's Story

ELLSWORTH AND OLD TOWN - Alfred E. "Bud" Halloran, 90, died peacefully with family by his side after a brief illness at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born March 12, 1925 in Old Town a son of Edgar M. and Fidelia (Wickett) Halloran.

During his younger years he worked in the woods, then he drove truck for many years. He enjoyed family gatherings and traveling around the United States with his significant other Marion. He enjoyed fishing and bird hunting with his sons. He will be remembered for his story telling and sense of humor. He was loved by all and will be sorely missed. He loved his dog "Buddy."

He was predeceased by his significant other Marrion Sullivan in 2014, a son Winfred "Butch" Halloran, and great grandson Herbert Halloran.

He is survived by two sons Alfred Halloran and his wife Linda of Hudson and George Halloran and his wife Becky of Glenburn; daughter Ethel "Tickey" Thayer of Hudson, special daughter Jane Farley and her husband Richard of Ellsworth; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 2PM Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where friends may call from 1PM until time of service. Spring burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Old Town. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bangor Humane Society 693 Mt Hope Ave, Bangor, ME 04401 www.bangorhumane.org
