Caribou - Alfred June Cote 83, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017, at Cary Medical Center. He was born in Connor Township on July 3, 1933, son of Fred and Ida (Theriault) Cote.
Alfred worked as a potato farmer on the family farm. He enjoyed ice fishing and sled riding. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Caribou.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Juliette (Soucy) Cote of Caribou; three daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Steven Smith of Plattsburgh, NY, Lisa and Michael Thompson of Elgin, SC, and Lynn and Brad Lusardi of Caribou; six grandchildren; two great-grandsons; two brothers, Harold Cote and his wife, Janice, of Caribou and Dale Cote and his wife, Diane, of Winter Haven FL; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Elda Violette and Pearl Fox Wilkins; and a brother, Wallace Cote.
Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover Street, Caribou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish of the Precious Blood, North Caribou, with the Very Rev. Jean Paul LaBrie, celebrant.
