Albertine's Story

ST. FRANCIS - Albertine M. Brownell, 91, past away February 16, 2016, at her residence in St. Francis following a period of declining health. She was born in Allagash, October 30, 1924, the daughter of John and Sarah (Jackson) Hafford.

She will be remembered as a joyful wife, mother, and homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, gardening and being with family. She was a life time member of the St. Francis Ladies Auxiliary, and the Disabled American Veterans.

Albertine is survived by her daughter, Debrorah A. Ouellette of New Sweden, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Clifford Brownell, in 1997; her five brothers, Albert, Arnold, Charles, Lloyd and Joseph Hafford; five sisters, Beaulah Mullins, Jean Hafford, Elizabeth Taggett, Emma Gardner and Marqarette Rodrigues.

Friends may call 9 am Saturday, February 20, 2016, until time of funeral services 10 am at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. Spring burial will held in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
