Durham, NH, and Hudson
- Albert G. Trask Jr., 85, formerly of Hudson, Maine, died on June 27, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Durham, New Hampshire, after an 11 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Hudson, Maine, on Nov. 7, 1931, to the late Albert G. and Inez E. (Jack) Trask, Sr., Albert (June) graduated from Bradford High School and Higgins Classical Institute, and lived his entire life in Hudson.
He worked on the Trask family farm for many years before working at the Bangor International Airport, retiring in 1989. He owned and operated Trask's Used Furniture and Antiques from 1969 to 2014, and was the Plumbing Inspector for many local towns. He was a lifetime member of the Maine Trapper Association, owned many properties and enjoyed his large and fruitful gardens.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma M. Trask of Durham, NH; two children, Barbara Trask Lovett and her husband, Bruce Lovett of Somersworth, NH, and Brian J. Trask of Bradley, ME; two grandchildren, Dayna Sewall Gough and her husband, Andrew Gough of Dover, NH, and Brendon Sewall of North Berwick, ME; two great-grandchildren, Emery Belle Gough and Nolan Andrew Gough. Also surviving are two brothers, George Trask and Carl Trask; two sisters, Gloria Bouchard and Helen Freeman; and a special niece, Kelly Jo Brickett, as well as many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Christine Brasslett and Elizabeth Eaton, and two brothers, David Trask and Keith Trask.
Private services were held at the cemetery in Hudson, ME, where Albert is now interred. Arrangements were in care of Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, ME.
