Albert "Al" Robert, 69, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2016, surrounded by loving family. Al was born January 8, 1947, in Pawtucket, RI to Albert and Yvonne Robert.
Al grew up in Narraganset, RI and San Diego, CA. He graduated from St. Raphaels Academy RI in 1965 and attended URI. Al was a master carpenter, a trade he learned at a young age from his father which turned into a life-long occupation. His carpentry skills brought him across the country from Alaska to New Mexico and from California to Maine. While in California, in 1969, on Hollywood Boulevard, he met the love of his life, Bonnie. Al and Bonnie married in 1970. They moved to Frankfort in 1978, where he lived the rest of his life. Al was a true family man with an infectious smile and calm disposition. He will be most remembered for the care, compassion, and patience he instilled in his family. Al was most alive on the water, he was an accomplished water-skier, and shared his passion for the water with his family.
Al is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie Robert; son, Shane Robert of Frankfort; daughters, Brigette Baxter of Ellsworth, Chandra Robert-Erickson of Hope, and Charissa Fortier of Standish; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Robert and Richard Robert. Predeceased by his parents, and his brother, Ronald Robert.
