Albert's Story

SCARBOROUGH - Albert Richard Cusick passed away at the Scarborough Veteran's Home on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 after a brief illness. Al was born in Boston on December 10, 1931, the beloved son of Sybil (Blackwood) and James Cusick.

He attended schools in Boston and entered the military, proudly serving our country as a Marine for nearly twenty years. He retired to the family homestead in Pembroke, Maine, where he enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of the downeast Maine area.

Al was predeceased by his parents, his two brothers, James Cusick and George Wallace Cusick, and his two sisters, Mary Mildred Cusick and Ellen Cusick Madden. He is lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Mark Madden, nieces and nephews, James Cusick, Richard Cusick, MaryEllen Cusick Danahy, Regina Cusick Donovan, Timothy Cusick, Patricia Cusick Vittorini, John Cusick, Mark Madden, Sybil Madden Estes, Melissa Madden Crehan, and Rachel Madden McGonagle, as well as close cousins Maureen and Harry Brown, and many other cousins.

The family extends appreciation for the care Al received from the nurses and staff

at the Bangor Veteran's home and the Scarborough Veteran's home. Also, the family is very thankful for the help and support of Al's close friends, David and Carole Brown of Pembroke.
