MADAWASKA AND DUNEDIN, FLORIDA - Madawaska, Maine and Dunedin, Florida---The family of Adrien J Gagnon, 90, wishes to inform friends and family of their loss and our heavenly father's gain. Adrien passed away on March 13, 2015 at a Florida health care facility.
After a living number of years with progressing dementia, Adrien finally succumbed to this devastating disease. He blessed us with his presence for almost 91 years, leaving us with many memories.
His greatest love was being a father, grandfather and great grandfather, accomplished with much love and laughter. Adrien was employed by Fraser Paper for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He and Edmonde spent their winters in Dunedin Florida upon his retirement.
He is survived by his loyal loving wife of over 68 years Edmonde, his only son, Jacques and Huguette of Riviere Verte, Canada, his four daughters, Nicole and Brian Saunders of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Ginette and Richard Albert of St. David, Maine, Lynn and Pascal Pariset of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, Lise and Gary Pelletier of Madawaska, Maine, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, sister Bernadette and Ronald Bourgoin of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, brother Roland and Jackie Marquis of Madawaska, Maine, aunts Anita Morneault of Dunedin, Florida and Lorette St. Laurent of Connecticut.
He was predeceased by his mother Albertine and stepfather Alphee Marquis, brothers Real and Roger Marquis, and sisters Lucille Chasse, Rachel Lebel, and Rena Raymond.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Friday and from 9am until 9:45am on Saturday before the service.
