Ada's Story

SMYRNA MILLS - Ada Mae (Casey) Williams, 87, went home to be with her LORD Jesus on August 6, 2015, just one month after her 87th birthday. She was born July 6, 1928 in Merril, Maine, the daughter of Stephen & Ruth (Hardy)Casey.

Known to her close family and friends as the "road runner," Ada was always on the go. She never missed a Sunday or Wednesday service with her church families in Maine, North Carolina, and Connecticut; and kept an extensive prayer list. She loved to fellowship, visit and call on family and friends. She was very involved in senior centers in North Carolina, where she was known for playing her spoons and always spreading joy. Ada was friendly and outgoing, she never met a stranger. She was a woman of conviction, compassion, and generosity; deeply devoted to her loved ones and her LORD. To the very end she trusted Jesus - the author and finisher of her faith.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Stephen Casey; her siblings Evelyn Grant, Paulene Bustard, and George Casey; her daughter, Maureen; and husbands, Edwin York and Basil Williams.

She is survived by her brother Roger Casey; daughter Donna Mitchell of Connecticut, and husband, Mark; granddaughter Kelleigh Rogozinski and husband, David; daughter Kayleen Lundstrom of North Carolina; husband, Gary; granddaughter Eliza Lundstrom and grandson Jason Richards. Also, several beloved step-children and grandchildren. She leaves with us a legacy of community, faith and love.

A Home Going celebration service will be held at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 111 Oakfield Smyrna Road, Oakfield, ME 04763 on Sunday August, 9th at 4:00pm. For online condolences and guestbook please visit www.bowersfuneral.com
