William's Story

GREENBUSH - William P. (Bill) Worthing 73, husband of Barbara Worthing, went home to be with his lord and savior July 23, 2015, at home surrounded by his family after a very long battle with cancer. He was born December 30, 1941 in Garland, Me, the son of William and Dorthy (McCann) Worthing.

Bill went to school in Howland and was a carpenter until he retired. He lived in Greenbush for the past 35 years after his retirement. He enjoyed FISHING, riding four wheelers with his wife, camping on East Grand Lake at Greenland Cove campground, and Living Waters Christian bible conference.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of the past 35 years, Barbara, his best friend and companion Gedgett, all of his Christian brothers and sisters from West Enfield Church of God from Brookton and Danforth.

He survived by his wife Barbara, sons; Steve and Tammy Worthing of Enfield, David Stevens of Bangor, Rick Iarrovino of Alton, Michael Kalel of Bangor, Linwood Kalel of Old Town, Robert Champion of Burlington, Daughters; Rhonda and Jeff Michaud of Enfield, Tara Doan of Greenbush, Tena and Frank Dugas of Kentucky, Debbie Sereyko of Howland, a brother, Dana Worthing of South Carolina; sister, Janice Carey of Peacove; a special niece Rosa Collins of Winterport, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his mother and father; sons, Brent Worthing, Eric Worthing; and sister, Alma Hogenhault.

Friends may call Monday from 12-2 at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St. Old Town, with a celebration of Bill's life being conducted at 2, followed by burial at Cardridge Cemetery in Greenbush.

The love of his life Barbara was a loving, dedicated wife, soulmate, best friend, and caregiver thru out there marriage until the time of Bill's passing.
