- William 'Bill' Howard Treworgy, 83, of Milbridge, ME, died November 10, 2017 at home.
He was born on March 16, 1934, to Beatrice and Albert Mains in Westbrook, ME, later adopted by Ernie Treworgy.
Bill graduated the Hampden Academy. He served in the U.S. Army for two years stationed in Europe. Bill attended the University of Maine, graduating with a Bachelors in Administration and later attended the Wharton School of Business where he earned a Master's in Government Administration.
He married Patricia Ann Newcomb on June 10, 1954 and they raised four children Michael, Kenneth, Eric and Kevin.
Bill was an assistant village manager for Skokie, IL, and then village manager of Essex Junction, Vermont. He worked as a budget analyst for Montgomery County, MD when it was the wealthiest county in the United States and retired as the Chief Budget Director. He raised his family in Rockville, MD for 21 years. After retiring, Bill became town manager of Milbridge, ME.
He enjoyed weekends at the camp that he built on Swan Lake, playing horse shoes with relatives, fishing and hunting.
Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia, children Michael, Kenneth, Eric and Kevin, grandchildren Nicole, Tyler, Danielle, Alicia, Brent, Evan, and Alexis.
He was preceded in death by his parents Beatrice Marsh and Albert Mains and step-father Harold Marsh, and his two brothers David and Wayne.
A memorial service will be Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Seaworthy Event Center, Milbridge, ME starting from 1-3 p.m.
Internment services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Swanville, ME at 12 p.m.
