William's Story

LEVANT - LEVANT-William Ross Loguercio Jr., 76, husband of Carlene (Porter) Loguercio, died peacefully at home with his faithful dog Bud by his side. He was born April 13, 1938 in Lynn, Massachusetts, the son of William R. and Beulah B. (Murray) Loguercio, Sr. Bill was a long time resident of Gardiner before moving to Levant. Bill served in the Navy from 1957 to 1964 as a hospital corpsman and was active in the Gardiner Lions Club and was a Brother in the Herman Lodge No. 0032 in Litchfield. Surviving in addition to his wife of 30 years, are his sister Leah D. Loguercio, of Augusta, her son Paul Fowler and his family, his daughters, Wanda R. Perry and her husband Jeffrey of Greenfield Center, NY and Melanie L. Scire of Naples, Florida, three stepchildren, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service and burial honoring Bill's life will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Windsor, Maine. A celebration of Bill's life will follow at his old homestead, 170 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner. At Bill's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association or to the Maine Veterans' Homes, Bangor.
