- Wayne Elliott Treagy, 85, died peacefully on February 16, 2018, at his home. He was born on February 3, 1933, in West Pembroke, son of Paul A. and Beatrice M. (Morang) Treagy.
Wayne was educated in Pembroke schools. He served in the US Air Force from 1950 - 1960, and was a Korean War Veteran. Wayne married Louise Morgan in 1986. He was employed as a Customer Service Agent and in Operations for Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, Bangor and San Diego, retiring in 1992 with 30 years of service. Wayne was a member of the Charleston, South Carolina, Masonic Lodge and Bangor Anah Shriners. He was a member of the Penobscot Valley Country Club in Orono, Maine, until his stroke in 2006. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Louise Morgan, two sisters, Diane Treagy, and Carol Rae Gillespie, and a brother, Paul Everett Treagy. Surviving are his son, Christopher Elliott Treagy and his wife, Sheri Radler, of Hampden; a daughter, Pamela Marion and her husband, Don Marion, of Sparta, GA; two grandchildren, William Sumrell of Cumming, GA, and Evan Sumrell and his wife, Lisa, of Chicago, IL; one great-grandson, Stanley Wilder of Chicago, IL; one sister, Jacquelyn Allen of Big Bear, CA; a niece, Donna Tempe; and two grandnieces, Jessy and Becky Tempe, of Cooper, Maine.
Spring interment will be private in the Clarkside Cemetery, Pembroke. Those who wish to remember Wayne in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor, Maine 04401. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
