Greenbush - Vivian Ketch, 98, wife of the late Beecher W. Ketch, Sr., passed away Feb. 19, 2017, at her home. She was born in Wallagrass, Aug. 1, 1918, the daughter of Paul and Carrie (Caron) Duprey.
Vivian was a member of the Passadumkeag Baptist Church and the Grange. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting, and she was a wonderful cook. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by four children, Rella Langley, Lillian Smith, Vivian Betters and William, and Beecher Ketch, Jr. and Patricia; 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 47 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild. She also had three foster children, Diane Carrell and John, Ernest Seger and Laura, and Louise Libby and Dana. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Verna Starbird, three sisters, two brothers, several grandchildren, and two sons in law, Hollis Langley and Robert Smith.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, with the Rev. Gary Kinney officiating. Spring interment will be in Gould's Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the Passadumkeag Baptist Church.
