Virginia's Story

QUINCY, Mass. - Virginia I. (Trenholm) Tucker, 84, formerly of Bangor, died peacefully, Sunday, March 9, 2014, in the Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Mass., surrounded by her loving family.

Virginia was born in Bangor and was raised on a farm in Wytopitlock. She was a high school graduate and a graduate of Bangor Mental Health Nursing School. She was a licensed practical nurse of thirty years and has been retired many years. She has lived in Quincy for seven years and Bangor for most of her life. Virginia operated a state licensed day care center in Bangor for 12 years. She also was a volunteer with the elderly program at the University of Maine. She enjoyed arts, crafts, knitting and crocheting. Virginia was devoted to her family and especially to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughter.

Beloved wife of the late Carroll E. Tucker. Devoted mother of, Theresa Chadbourne of Bangor, Dwight Chadbourne of Alabama, Dianna Chadbourne of Brewer, and Scott W. Tucker of Quincy, Mass.; and was predeceased by Becky Chadbourne, and Catherine Grant. Loving grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; sister of, Georgianna Ruth of Pennsylvania, and the late Regina C. Gallant.
