- Victor D. Scammon passed away at Penobscot Valley Hospital on November 24, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 19, 1945.
Victor was a long haul truck driver for most of his working life. He was an outgoing, selfless man who made many friends along the way. Every morning and afternoon he would meet up with his McDonald's buddies for a cup of coffee and to share life stories for hours. One of Victor's favorite pastimes was four wheeling, where he made many more friends at the Lincoln ATV clubs.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, J. Scammon. Victor is survived by his wife of 23 years, Rosalyn; daughter, Jody; stepdaughters, Rose and Lisa; stepsons, Daniel, Joseph, Norman, and Randy-Roo; three grandchildren, Isaiah, Elijah, and Briana, as well as several step-grandchildren; one sister, Lois, and many, many friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Victor's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017, at The Knights of Columbus Hall, Rt 2 Lincoln, Maine 04457. Arrangements made by Memorial-Alternatives, Bangor, ME 04401.
