MEDWAY - Vernon F. Rossignol, 63, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at a Millinocket hospital. He was born March 1, 1951 in Caribou, the son of Frank Jr. and C. Hannah (Cox) Rossignol.
Vernon grew up in Medway, and was a graduate of Schenck High School. He was a member of the National Guard. For many years, he worked at the Great Northern Paper Company in East Millinocket as a Millwright. Vernon was an outdoors enthusiast, especially enjoying hunting and ice fishing. He loved spending time with his family and keeping informed with all that was going on with them.
Vernon is survived by a son, Clay Rossignol and Mellisa Petrik of Blue Hill, and a very special friend, Clay's mom, Theresa Tracy; a daughter, Lori Jandreau of Chester; a grandson, Parker Rossignol; two step sons, Josh Blackmore and Toni Tibbitts of Millinocket and Adam Brackett and his fiancé Erica Larlee of Ellsworth; four step grandchildren, Brianna Leet, Antone Blackmore, Rhylee Yates, and Grayson Brackett, siblings, Alwin Cox and his wife Grace of Woodville, Linda Theriault and her husband Clint of Medway, Gilbert Rossignol and his wife Dot of East Millinocket, and Kathleen Drinkwater and her husband Rodney of Chester; a special aunt, Wilma Dow of Caribou; a special uncle, Vernon Cox of South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Vernon was predeceased by a brother, David Rossignol.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, September 20 at the Grindstone Road Cemetery in Medway, with Rev. Regginal Adams officiating. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, East Millinocket. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.lamsonfh.com.
