Vaughn's Story

ORMOND BEACH, FL AND BANGOR - Vaughn Cole, 85, of Ormond Beach, went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2016.

He was born in Bangor, and served in the National Guard. Vaughn and his family relocated to Littleton, CO where he resided for 26 years. He was a small business owner and member of the Littleton, Colorado City Council. In 1991, Vaughn and his wife, Gloria, settled in Ormond Beach, FL. Vaughn's true passion was sharing his faith with others. He had been actively involved with Bill Bright's Campus Crusade for Christ and the Navigators. He made several mission trips to Guatemala, sharing the gospel with many natives. Vaughn was actively involved with the Gideon's and was a member of Providence Church in Ormond Beach.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gloria; three daughters, Beth (John) Genz of Colorado Springs, CO, Judith (Bryan) Oeth of Longwood, FL, and Donna (David) Schmauder of Highlands Ranch, CO. Vaughn also leaves ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren in addition to his sister, Dorothy Warren and brother, Galen Cole of Bangor.

A memorial service will be celebrated 2pm, Saturday, April 2, at Providence Church, 1151 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach, FL.
