ST. ALBANS - Theodore M. Erving, 74, died January 29, 2016 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born May 17, 1941 in Wellington, a son of Perley and Frances (Stewart) Erving. He worked in construction as a young man and later worked as a woodsman and handsewer for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his mother, Frances Libby of Harmony, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Erving of St. Albans; his children, Donna Stewart and husband Robert, Randy Erving, Robert Erving and wife Mandy, Robin Reynolds and husband Jeffery, all of St. Albans; and a son Gerald Erving and wife Stacy of Burnham; grandchildren, Joshua and Nichole Stewart, Nick and Abbie Reynolds, Amanda Kenny, Heidi Hartsgrove, Amy Thompson, Alison, Alex, Megan, Jeremy, Zach and Morgan Erving; 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mildred Huff and Deborah Morrison; 3 brothers, Jeffrey, Lester and Daniel Erving.
Ted was predeceased by his father, Perley and brother, Donald Erving.
A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, February 8th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. Leonard Reiss officiating. A spring committal service will be held at the Maloon Cemetery, St. Albans. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com
