- Barefoot Bay, FL. - Susan A. (Anderson) Nye, 64, has passed on to her next journey January 9th, 2018. Born in Ellsworth, Maine, to the late Gus and Frances Anderson. Susan and the love of her life David W. Nye married in 1991. After many years in Milford, ME, they shoveled their last winter storm and moved in 1997 to Barefoot Bay, Florida to be close to Sue's mother-in-law and friend, Freda Nye.
Sue was known for being a very talented and professional Insurance Agent in Maine, and in Florida. Her and David also owned and operated the Scoreboard Lounge, Fantastic Food Factory, and later opened D&S Discount. In her off time, Sue was content soaking up the sun and the sights from the rear seat of her and Dave's Harley Davidson motorcycle. Sue had a great knowledge and passion for gardening. She was so passionate about flower gardening, she had her favorite flower, the Lady Slipper, tattooed on her upper back. Sue was always ready to do anything fun with family or friends. She loved to sing by a camp fire, hang out at Lucerne Lake, deer hunt at the hunting camp in Greenfield. ME or host a gathering at home. She was a great cook and loved to share her recipes with friends and family.
Susan will be missed most by her one true love, and husband, David Nye of Barefoot Bay, FL. She is survived by, and will be forever missed by son, Joshua Bolduc and wife, Jennifer Bolduc, of Viera, FL, daughter, Sabrina Roberts and husband, Jonathan Roberts, of Milford, ME, stepdaughter, Shelley Davis and husband, Keith Davis, of Barefoot Bay, FL, and stepdaughter, Shari Garland and husband, Daryl Garland, of Charleston, ME. Sue had many grandchildren that meant the world to her to, including Kaili Gallant, Colby Garland, Kendra Gerber, Emily Roberts, Gabby, Brooke, Landry and Bailey Bolduc. Lastly her life long friends who shared so many memories with Sue, Cindy Frank, Bruce and Darleen Nye, Alan and Linda Nye and Nala and Alan Campbell.
