- Shirley J. (Larlee) Albert, 82, wife of Eugene "Runt" Albert, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was born September 23, 1934, in Millinocket, the daughter of Charles and Kathleen (McCrea) Larlee.
Shirley grew up in Millinocket, and attended Millinocket schools. She earned her G.E.D. from Stearns High School, and worked in the dietary department at Millinocket Regional Hospital, retiring after 26 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Millinocket Church of the Nazarene, and regularly attended a Bible study class.
In addition to her husband, "Runt", to whom she was married for 65 years, Shirley is survived by a son, Stephen Albert; and a daughter, Kathleen "Kathy" Pelletier; a sister, Joyce Lynch; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Albert, and Ann Albert; three grandchildren, Michelle Brundrett and her husband, Jamie, Wayne Albert and his wife, Misty, and Carrissa Pelletier and her partner, Mike Donahue; six great-grandchildren, Nolan, Laney, Alexandra, Ella, Aliana, and Anthony; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; a son-in-law, Roger Pelletier; a daughter-in-law, Sue Albert; three brothers-in-law, Donald Lynch, Richard Albert, and George Albert.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, June 7 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, June 8 at the Millinocket Church of the Nazarene, Forest Avenue, Millinocket, with the Rev. Allen Hamlin, pastor, officiating. Private interment will be at a later date.
