ST. ALBANS - Sharon Weeks, 62, went home to be with her Lord January 16, 2015 after fighting a long battle. She was born February 20, 1952 in East Corinth, a daughter of Raymond and Lorraine (Lambert) Elliott. Sharon graduated from Central High School, Class of 1970 as valedictorian of her class. She worked for Metropolitan Life in Bangor and transferred to Waterville where she became office manager. When the Waterville office closed she was asked to return to Bangor. After 25 years of service she took early retirement in order to care for her mother. After her mother passed she worked as bookkeeper for the Town of St. Albans. Sharon married Earle Osborne Weeks on May 5th, 1973. They had a wonderful life together for 41 years. They especially enjoyed retirement cruising to Hawaii, Alaska, the Panama Canal and many locales in the Caribbean. They wintered in Florida and traveled across the United States twice. These are cherished memories.

One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Wonderful times were shared playing tennis, biking, hiking, camping and ice skating. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family. She spent much of her free time walking miles through the woods with her golden retrievers seeking out new adventures.

Sharon was baptized into the Methodist church at age 9 and was always a faithful servant. She was a strong Christian woman who led her family by example. She will be remembered as a kind, caring person with a big smile for everyone no matter what struggles she faced in life. She was a member of Grace-Linn United Methodist Church in Hartland, the United Methodist Women, a member of the Hartland-St. Albans Lions Club, and was a past member of the Oakland Sunshine Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Angie Weeks-Knapp of Harmony, Tammy Christianson of Sidney, and a son in law she considered to be her son, Nathan Christianson; two brothers Philip Elliott and wife Annabel of Cape Coral, Florida, Richard Elliott and wife Patricia of Decatur, Alabama; four grandchildren, Barrett, Abigail, Joshua, and Joseph; and two aunts, Eva and Norma; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 20th, at Grace-Linn United Methodist Church, 8 Seekins Street, Hartland with Pastor Jim Boughman officiating. Spring burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery, St. Albans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Aliza Jean Family Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 124, Harmony, ME 04942. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
