- Sarah Marie Cookson, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 16, 2016, at her home in Farmingdale. Sarah was born in Augusta, April 18, 1986, and attended the Hall-Dale school system. She is a graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta with a Bachelors degree. She was a dreamer, born traveler at heart, a loving sister, daughter, and friend to many. Sarah is survived by her parents, Roger and Ann Cookson of Farmingdale and her three siblings and their families. Sherry (Cookson) Monteith of Lewiston, husband Derek and their children, Sean and Kaitlyn; Donnie Cookson of Farmingdale and his son, Timothy; Heather (Cookson) White of Skowhegan and husband Isiah, and their children, Garry, Tierra, Harrmony, Stephan, Aiden, Quinn and Nathanial. She was known for her passion and love of animals, especially her cat Boo who she originally named Boo-Boo. Boo was a rescue animal. She wanted all to be happy and to feel loved. Sarah was a strong advocate for what she believed in, supported those who were part of her heart, and did the best she could for anyone in need. She had a huge and loving heart. She spent her teenage years at an equestrian center where she developed a passion and love for horses. She aspired to one day own an equestrian center that would provide therapy for children with special needs. Sarah has many friends and relatives who loved her and will miss her dearly.
