Sandra Leigh Burns

Holden - Sandra L. Burns, 77, of Holden, passed away after a brief illness surrounded by family and friends on February 7th, 2019. She was born in Orrington on January 25th, 1942, to Leon and Verna Hurd.
She grew up in Orrington and Bucksport. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. All of her grandkids and great-grandkids knew and loved her as Mamie. Sandra's happiest times were spent at family gatherings, having lunch with friends, and lots of shopping.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Bruce, Gene, and Sheldon Hurd; sister, Doris Winchester; husband, Jim Burns; and son, Donald Gamache.
She is survived by brother, Lawrence and wife, Theresa Hurd; brother, Rodney Hurd and Geraldine; sister, Linda and husband, George Pelletier; sister, Kimberly; and sister-in-Law and great friend, Marilyn Hurd; daughter, Juanita and husband, "Fritz" Fritsma; daughter, Wanda Eldridge and Greg; daughter, Pam and husband, Gary Dixon; sons, Randy Gamache; son, Timmy and wife, Tammy Gamache; grandchildren, Donald, Nicole, Matthew, Brandi, Donny, Dylan, Tyler, Liam, Gunnar, Alexis, Kristen and Brittina; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend Kurt; and lifelong friend, Peggy.
