Sally Jacobs

July 18, 1943 - November 07, 2018

Woodville Sally Jacobs, 75, wife of the late Lloyd Jacobs, joined her husband in heaven on Thursday, November 7, 2018. She was born July 18, 1943 in Medway, the daughter of Llewellyn and Daisy (White) Day.
Sally lived her life for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Until her husband's passing in 2017, you never saw one without the other. Sally assisted him when he was commander at the American Legion; they rode their Harley together, they shopped together, cooked together, and worked together. They started a School Bus business in the 1980's, and did that for over 20 years. Sally truly enjoyed driving the kindergarten kids to school every day. Sally also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially making warm hats, mittens, and blankets for her family. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens, and loved watching the hummingbirds out her window. Sally was a sweet, caring woman who was loved by many.
She is survived by four children, Leonard Jacobs and his girlfriend, Betsy, Audra Lynch and her husband, Greg, Kay Rogerson and her husband, Mike, and T.J. McNally and her husband, Mike; four grandchildren, Charley Rae Romesburg and her husband, Rich, Ryan Federico and his fiancée, Morgan Tozier, Derrick Spaulding, and Shep Harriman; five great-grandchildren, Richie, Noah, and Natalie Romesburg, and Jason and Nova Federico; five siblings, Hazel Beach, Everett Day, Millard Day, Gertrude McReavy and her husband, Paul, and Morris Day and his wife, Dottie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Sally was predeceased by a brother, Walter Day, and a sister, Charlene Day.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 15, at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Catholic Church, 58 Cedar Street, East Millinocket with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Interment will be at the Woodville Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be expressed at

Loved riding to Woodville on the bus with Tommie at the helm on Friday after school. Supper with the whole Jacob's family and then my parents would have coffee with Tommie and Sally and take me home. Salt of the earth people. Enjoy your reunion Sally with Tommie and we will all meet again.

So many special memories of both your parents and the bus as a teenager and then later as a parent with children of my own. I always enjoyed bumping into them somewhere and catching up. Small town bonds. Hugs of comfort for all 4 of you.

I still remember those days in the van with sally going to school when I was in kindergarten. Also, the long bus rides to school with Tommy. Always smiling faces when you saw Sally and Tommy. You will be missed.

I want to express my condolences to your family and friends over the loss of your love one. In times like this a comforting word is welcomed. May you receive strength and comfort from the God who promise to “swallow up death forever” and give us a hope of a “resurrection”. - Isaiah 25:8; Acts 24:15.
