CLIFTON - Ruth A. (Crosby) Simmons, age 67, of Clifton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor. She was born March 2, 1949, to Harold Crosby and Donna Forsythe.
Ruth is survived by her mother, Donna Forsythe; her son, Rod Simmons Jr.; two grandchildren, Adreanna and Stefan; two brothers, Manley Crosby and Brett Crosby; two sisters, Connie Crosby and Terri Crosby; and her dear friend, Janet (Goodwin) Eddy. She was predeceased by her father, Harold Crosby; two children, Stella and Robert Simmons; and three brothers, Bart Crosby, Mark Crosby and Skip Crosby.
Ruthie attended Brewer High School and lived in and around Bangor for most of her life. From a young age, Ruth was a generous, free-spirited woman, whose passion for life showed in everything she did. She enjoyed her family and loved to laugh. She was not afraid to live life on the wild side. Her passion for music, the outdoors and her love for all animals will always be remembered. Ruth enjoyed breeding German Rottweilers, and will now be reunited with her Rotty "Captain Crunch". She leaves behind a legacy of love for all, and a willingness to help those less fortunate.
