Roxanne's Story

DOVER-FOXCROFT AND CHARLESTON - Roxanne Walton Ewer, 60, died on Aug. 13, 2014, at Mayo Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was the daughter of Chet and Theresa Walton.

Roxanne graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1972. She worked as a cook and waitress for many years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Roger Ewer; four sons, Roger and his wife from Argyle, Dennis and his wife, Julie, from Clifton, Mike and his wife, Billie-Jo, from Dover-Foxcroft and CJ and his wife from Hampden; two adopted children, Dylan and Cheyenne; and with 14 grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Linda Richards from Pittsfield, Bonnie Holebrook from Corinna and a very special sister, Denine Walton from Newport; three brothers, Bucky Walton of Carmel, Scott Walton of Dover-Foxcroft and Rick Walton of Milo; and a special niece, Stephanie Demers from Old Town.

There will be a celebration of life held 2 p.m. Aug. 23 at the home of Mike Ewer, 68 Turner Road, Dover-Foxcroft.
