WASHBURN AND HOULTON - Ronald W. Scott, 78, passed away July 17, 2015, in Presque Isle, after a short but courageous fight with cancer. He was born December 17, 1936, to Arthur and Doris (Brewer) Scott of Houlton.
Ron grew up in Houlton and worked at Parkview Terrace and Reids Confectionary for many years. He was a wonderful cook and loved to make meals or desserts for his family and friends. He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran having served from 1956-1964.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Tammi Easler and her husband, David, of Washburn; three grandchildren, that he adored and was very proud of: Stephen Nason of Bangor, and Katie and Abbie Easler of Washburn; his sisters-in law, Mary Scott of Madawaska and Kip VanTasel of Houlton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Edwina (VanTasel) Scott; two brothers, Arthur and David Scott; and stepfather, Vern Thurlow.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Smyrna Street, Houlton on Wednesday, July 29.
