BREWER AND BANGOR - Ronald S. Arsenault, Sr., 80, died peacefully Wednesday, February 11, 2015. He was born October 22, 1934, in Brewer, the son of Fred and Grace (Cookson) Arsenault.

Ron grew up in Brewer and after high school joined the United States Army serving his country for several years. He was married to his wife, Alicia (Braley) Arsenault for 47 1/2 years. Ron worked various jobs and then became a flooring contractor. He later owned his own subcontracting business doing many installations in the area. Ron retired at 62. Three months later he began working in the Security Department of Bass Park, and then the Cross Insurance Center. Ron loved bowling and belonged to several bowling leagues. When arthritis made it difficult to bowl with his dominant hand, he taught himself to bowl left-handed. He enjoyed many years square dancing and snowmobiling and, until his later years, was an avid camper.

Ron is survived by his children, Sue Burleigh and Ron Arsenault, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Arsenault; 3 grandsons, Corey, Joshua and Alex Arsenault; his girlfriend, Fran Frost; "other daughter", Holly Wells; and several nieces and nephews.
