MACHIAS - Roger Hall, son of Karl and Eva Hall, husband to Genie, father to Meagan and twin brother of Karl passed peacefully at home on July 25th.

Roger attended Machias schools and graduated from Machias Memorial High School in 1955. Roger was a veteran of the Air Force, life member or Paralyzed Veterans of America, and member of the Neuromuscular Disease Support Group. He designed and maintained web pages for Machias Alumni and the high school soccer team. He was formerly on the board for Sunrise Opportunities. In his boyhood years, he enjoyed spending time outdoors with his brother and neighborhood friends in Kennebec. Later on, even with a diagnosis of muscular dystrophy he enjoyed snowmobiling and drag racing. Roger and his only child, Meagan had a strong bond. He spent many years doing homework with her and helping her with all her extracurricular activities. In later years they would enjoy time doing crossword puzzles and watching Sunday morning political shows.

Roger is survived by his wife Genie, daughter Meagan and her husband Michael, twin brother Karl and his wife Marlene and their sons Matt, Marcus and Micah and their families (Suzanne, Adam, Evan, Carrie, Ashley, Natalie, and Preston). He is survived by brothers in law Patrick and Tommy Ashley, Patrick's wife Debbie and his children Elizabeth, Bill and Sarah, and Tommy's wife Janet and their sons Kevin and Joe. Roger was predeceased by his parents, his infant sister, grandparents, and mother and father in law.

The family would like to extend gratitude and appreciation to Community Health and Counseling for their excellent hospice care. Arrangements have been provided by Direct Cremation of Maine. A celebration of life will be scheduled for August, details to follow. Please make any donations to Camp Capella, where Roger enjoyed many group picnics with his neuromuscular disease support group.
