Robin's Story

HAMPDEN - Robin Ellen Greenlaw, 56, passed away July 2, in her home in Hampden, ME. Surrounded by her family, after a very difficult fight, Robin lost her battle with cancer. Daughter of Richard Gibbs and Lenora Gibbs of Brewer, Robin worked as a Team Lead Secretary for PCHC/Penobscot Pediatrics for over 20 years. A graduate of Brewer High School and a proud "witch," Robin spent many of her early working years raising hell while working with her friends at Bangor Savings Bank, before moving on to Penobscot Peds. Robin was blessed over the past year and a half to feel so much love from all of her family and friends around her. The kindness exuded from friends and strangers alike humbled her on a daily basis. More than anything, she loved spending time with her friends and family, making them laugh and causing shenanigans. She was a light unlike no other, a rainbow burst of energy covered in "bling," and she will be missed deeply by all who knew her. Taken from us too early, there is no doubt she will continue to live on vividly in all of our memories and hearts.

Robin was predeceased by two brothers and one sister, Dick Gibbs, Jimmy Gibbs and Evelyn Gibbs. Surviving are her daughter, Morgan Greenlaw, soon to be daughter in-law Hayley Morrow, Husband, Keith Greenlaw, Sister Theresa Wells and Husband Rodney Wells, Sister Pam Underhill and niece Julie Hill, Brothers Charlie Gibbs and Wife Debbie Gibbs, Brother Garvin Gibbs, Niece Jamie Perry and Husband Casey Perry, Niece Michelle Wells and Fiancé Mark Hagar, Niece Alyshia Manda and Husband Rick Manda, Great Nephew, Connor Perry and two very best friends, Nancy McEwen and Robin Bishop. And we must not forget the original "Grumpy Cat" Dusty.

At Robin's request, there will be no formal services. An informal memorial will be held in her family home, 179 Monroe Rd, Hampden, ME 04444, Saturday, July 11th from 11am-5pm. We invite anyone who would like to pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, Robin requests donations be made to the Make a Wish Foundation of Maine. Please visit http://maine.wish.org/ and follow the instructions to donate.
